The Brisbane Art Prize

is an acquisitive $10 000 prize awarded to one of the finalists pre-selected.

The exhibition of finalists for the Brisbane Art Prize will be showcased at  Lightspace venue in The Valley, Brisbane for 5 days during the Life Art Worldwide Arts Expo 23 -27 September 2015. These dates are aligned with the 2015 Brisbane Festival.

All pre-selected artists will be offered the chance to register for exhibition space in the Life Art Worldwide Arts Expo

This expo has limited spaces available and preference will  go to those artists registered by earliest date once pre selected for the Brisbane Art prize Finalist Exhibition

 Entries Close: 30 April 2015

Art works for the Brisbane Art Prize  must be:

• 2D artwork only (painting, drawing, printmaking, photography etc)
• an overall framed sized work measuring 40 x 40 cm. Stock of this size are available at http://www.chapmanbailey.com.au/
• framed/ stretched and ready to hang
• 3D artists can enter this prize!  If work is 40 x 40 cm and ready to hang(assemblage, ceramic painting, drawings of sculpture to be exhibited in Life Art Worldwide Expo etc)

Art works for the Brisbane Art Prize will be preselected for:

• technical proficiency
• adherence to the *concept
• artistic innovation

• If pre-selcted for the Brisbane Art prize, artists have the chance to showcase their work  at the Life Art Worldwide Arts Expo  in all of the following mediums: 
  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Photography
  • Printmaking
  • Sculpture

Life Art Worldwide

is an Arts Expo  purposefully designed to recognize and promote visual artists with an excellent standard of work from all around the world.

In September 23 – 27, 2015  the best artists and galleries from around the globe will showcase their work for 5 days at Life Art Worldwide Arts Expo. Life Art Worldwide takes pride in valuing quality over quantity and the Expo has made only 33 premium booths available. This will create the Australia’s finest contemporary international art marketplace at  Lightspace  venue in Fortitude Valley in  Brisbane.

 *Concept:

The meaning of life—its significance, purpose, and ultimate fate—is a central world concept and is questioned in science, philosophy, religion and art.
As there is no unequivocal definition of life, this is the chance for international, national and local artists and galleries to offer their interpretation of how their life as an artist relates to their existence and consciousness in a unique exhibition opportunity.
